For persons who are physically challenged, accessibility is very important. As a certified Accessibility Inspector / Plans Examiner, I am able to assess and document the accessible features to insure accessibility has not been compromised due to physical changes to the property. Sometimes over time, repairs and modifications to properties can unintentionally limit accessibility for the persons they were intended to assist. We provide an accessibility assessment of the property then provide a description of its accessible features. These assessments can greatly reduce liability of a property owner and more importantly, insure the property remains accessible to all persons.
The ADA "Americans with Disabilities Act" requires buildings and other public facilities be accessible to persons with disabilities. Certified Accessibility Inspectors are qualified to assess all disabilities and their needs. Not all disabled individuals are in wheel chairs. Their are requirements for hearing and visually impaired individuals as well. An accessibility assessment will note all ADA features to insure the features remain in place as required. "Information & Checklists for ADA". All accessibility assessments are done by a Certified Accessibility Inspector.
